Activity

Bouvier Des Flandres need a large yard to play in but they can manage well with apartment living as long as they get enough exercise. This breed is very active and need regular long walks as well as being able to run free with close supervision.

Care

Lots of maintenance is required to take care of the Bouvier Des Flandres long and shaggy coat. They need to be trimmed at least times annually to keep away tangles or mats. They also need to be brushed daily. When properly groomed, these dogs shed very little.

Character

The Bouvier Des Flandres puppies are enthusiastic, playful, even-tempered, pleasant and gentle. They make excellent companions. Known to be wonderful with children, they need to be socialized from a young age if they’re going to get along with other animals.

Coat

The coat of a Bouvier Des Flandres is thick and heavy with a very distinctive mustache and beard. Extensive maintenance is required to keep their coat well groomed and untangled. They have rough, harsh and shaggy top coat that’s also dry and crisp. The under coat is dense and soft.

Temperament

Bouvier Des Flandres puppies are quiet, calm, intelligent, good natured, fearless and responsible. They need experienced pet owners as well as firm handling to forego any issues with dominance. This is a great family dog when they have the right home, enough love and training.
